Nestled in the heart of the charming and sought-after Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, Balboa Beauty is a landscape design project that reimagines coastal living. This transformed home radiates an elevated curb appeal, capturing the essence of coastal charm and sophistication. Our goal was to create a breathtaking outdoor space that perfectly complements the serene ambiance of the neighborhood while enhancing the home’s overall allure.

Given the unique challenge of the small lot size and lack of a backyard, we focused on designing a front yard that offers both privacy and functionality for a young family. At the same time, we ensured the space leaves visitors with a warm and welcoming first impression. The home’s architecture is coastal modern, with the clients expressing their love for clean lines but desiring materials that soften the overall look.

Key materials used in this project include cobblestone, a lounge wood deck, and a wood front fence that complements the home’s wood facade detailing. The centerpiece of the design is a built-in firepit, strategically placed just outside massive accordion doors that lead directly from the main living room. This feature not only enhances the outdoor living experience but also seamlessly integrates the indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a perfect setting for family gatherings and entertaining guests.
